Northern Gannet ( Solan Goose). Scotland holds almost half of the world's population of the Northern Gannet with 14 colonies .They only come ashore to breed. Feeds on a wide variety of fish,taken by plunge diving from height.
They have been an important food-source for humans throughout the ages.
